CommentThe course is mandatory for MSc. students and recommended for MAS students who write their Master Thesis at the Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation.
Participation to both sessions are mandatory to receive the credit, there will be no exceptions.
If a student can't take part in one of the sessions, the course has to be taken the following semester.

ContentThis course teaches students about the basic principles of scientific work in the field of social sciences. It is an introduction into the fascinating field of research. The course shows the power of theory and literature, helps formulating intriguing research questions, provides an overview of scientific methods and data analysis, and gives hints on how to derive insightful conclusions out of results. The goal is to motivate students to find and read research papers relevant to their field, develop an own thesis design and write scientific articles.

Prerequisites / Notice· The course is mandatory for MSc. students and recommended for MAS students who write their Master Thesis at the Chair of Strategic Management and Innovation.
· The course will be given once every semester by Dr. Zeynep Erden Özkol and the PhD students of the chair
· The course takes two days, one for lecture, one for student paper presentations.
. Students who participate in the lecture and present a paper receive 1 credit point. Both sessions are mandatory to receive the credit, there will be no exceptions. If a student can't take part in one session, the course has to be taken the following semester.
· The course and the presentations will be given in English.
