227-1035-00L  Dynamical Systems in Biology

SemesterAutumn Semester 2014
LecturersR. Stoop
Periodicityyearly recurring course
Language of instructionGerman

AbstractThis lecture uses the concepts from dynamical systems (Course: "Computable Chaos in Dynamical Systems") for the description of salient phenomena in complex examples from population dynamics, neuroinformatics and system biology. A particlular focus is on the concept of limit cycle solutions and their coupling.
ObjectiveApplying concepts from nonlinear dynamics to biological systems. Combining theoretical modeling with supporting computer simulations.
