KurzbeschreibungThis is an advanced course on the general theory of stochastic processes in the sense of the Strasbourg school. Topics to be covered include general martingale theory, projections of processes, semimartingales and their characteristics, stochastic integration, etc.
LernzielThis is an advanced course on the general theory of stochastic processes in the sense of the Strasbourg school. Topics to be covered include general martingale theory, projections of processes, semimartingales and their characteristics, stochastic integration, etc.

Prerequisites are good familiarity with measure-theoretic probability and a good knowledge of the fundamentals of stochastic processes in continuous time. Lecture notes of the courses on probability theory (in German) and on stochastic processes and stochastic analysis (in English) are available; see Link.
InhaltTopics covered in the course include:

- stopping times and stochastic processes
- some applications of section theorems
- measures on Omega x [0, infty) and projections of processes
- structure of martingales and local martingales
- semimartingales and stochastic integrals
- characteristics of semimartingales
