Kurzbeschreibung | This lecture series provides a comprehensive overview of the most important aspects of clinical exercise testing for diagnosis and assessment of functional status in different patient populations, e.g. patients with pulmonary, cardiac or neuro-muscular disease, with obesity, young or old age. Also, special aspects in the context of training perscriptions in these populations will be discussed. |
Lernziel | By the end of this module, students: - Have the theoretical basis for disease-specific exercise testing and interpretation in clinical settings - Know important aspects for disease-specific exercise-training prescriptions and assessment of training progress - Are able to critically review and interpret scientific literature in the context of physical fitness, performance and training in different patient populations |
