Admission requirement
The performance assessment includes participation in discussions during class time and each class period I will ask 2-3 of the students to plan guiding questions that will be used to structure the class period and to facilitate the discussion. These will be worth 50% of the grade.
Then for the remaining 50% of the grade, students write an essay reflecting on the contents of the class that they turn in during the end of semester exam period.
